Emma Stone
Emily Jean "Emma" Stone was
born on November 6 1988 in Scottsdale, Arizona to Krista Jean Stone (nee
Yeager), a homemaker & Jeffrey Charles "Jeff" Stone who was a
founding partner of a company that contracts and CEO. She is of Swedish and
British Isles roots. Stone began acting in her early years as a participant in
the Valley Youth Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona, where she made her stage debut in
the Kenneth Grahame production "The Wind in the Willows". She
appeared in many more productions throughout her teens until, around the age of
fifteen, she decided that she wanted to make acting her profession. Officially,
she created a PowerPoint presentation, which was backed by Madonna's
"Hollywood", and entitled "Project Hollywood", to convince
her parents to allow her go to school and relocate to Los Angeles. The
presentation was successful, and she and her mom moved to LA and she completed
her schooling at home. She then spent her time auditioning. She made her TV
breakthrough when she was awarded the role of Laurie Partridge in the VH1 show,
a reality and talent show In Search of the Partridge Family (2004) which
resulted in a variety of small TV roles over the next years. After a number of
performances she was then able to take on the role of Jules in Superbad (2007).
Her fame was as Olive was a highlight of her role in Easy A (2010) followed by
several more roles. She attended Xavier College Preparatory, Phoenix, Arizona.
Although she's a redhead, her natural hair color her hair is blonde. It was
Judd Apatow who suggested she change her hair color for Superbad (2007) and she
was so pleased with it that she decided to keep the color. At age 15, she
convinced her parents that she was able to move to Hollywood. She did this by
creating an PowerPoint presentation titled Project Hollywood. She began acting
at 11 years old, at Phoenix's Valley Youth Theatre. Here she appeared on 16
stages. She also performed in the comedy improv troupe of the theatre. Caylee
Cowan was also an actor at the Valley Youth Theatre.
