Allyson Felix

Allyson Michael Felix was the Los Angeles native born on the 18th November 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix, is a minister who was ordained by Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a teacher of primary schools in Balboa Magnet. Felix's athletic talent was evident right from the day she was enrolled at Los Angeles Baptist High School. A mere 10 weeks after the initial attempt she made the sport, she finished 2nd in the 200m race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003, Felix graduated from high school having signed a professional contract with the sports company Adidas prior to matriculating in the University of Southern California where she completed her elementary education. One year later Felix won the first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece breaking a junior world record by running 200 meters at 22.18 seconds. She was the youngest world champion in the 200 meters in the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007, beating her long-time Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix participated in her first Olympics at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo consistently placing within the top three of her competitions.
